Interplay Energy
|
InterplayEnergy was originally a static HTML website. To allow dynamic content and ease of editing by the InterPlay staff I fully converted the entire website to Joomla including converting the menus, panels, and footers into Joomla Modules. Now InterPlay staff have the ability to update and maintain their own website giving them the freedom to manage their own content without the burden of having to dig into code to make simple changes. You can go check it out at http://interplayenergy.com/ |

Built as a hub for a Burbank, CA local comedian and software tester Daniel Arreola. This website was built from the ground up using Joomla as its backbone. It included bio information, contact for, social media, and an event calendar listing past and future shows. Multimedia including pictures and comedy skit videos were also available. Website has been taken down but was available at http://www.danielarreola.com/ |

Avatar: Extended Collector's Edition
Oceans
This was the first full disk I authored while working at Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory. I worked on all aspects of authoring the disc including BD-J and HDMV Author. The menu itself was simple but included the Living Earth functionality that is very complicated for both BD-J and HDMV, it included PiP, menu navigatioin, and Live Updates through BD-Live. However, I was not the one to originally create the feature, I modified it and made it more efficient for Oceans but I cannot take the credit for the original development.Spinal Tap
I authored this disk while working at Deluxe Digital Studios. I worked only on the BD-J portion of the disc while an HDMV Author worked on the disc content. The menu contained several unique animations such as spinning knobs, drawing underlines, scrolling, and fading.Avatar
Mirrors
This is one of several other disks I authored at Deluxe Digital Studios. I authored the BD-J portion of the disk while another authored worked on the HDMV. The overall design/layout of the menu was simple b ut included rather interesting animations using fading, scrolling, etc. of the mirror buttons.Stargate: The Ark of Truth
Stargate: The Ark of Truth was one of several catalog type titles I authored while at Deluxe Digital Studios. I authored only the BD-J portion of the disc while another author handled the HDMV protion. Although the menu was rather simply it contained several scaling, fading, and sequence animations that complicated the authoring but gave the menu a very alive and interactive feel.Antwone Fisher
I authored this disk while working at Deluxe Digital Studios. I worked only on the BD-J portion of the disc while an HDMV Author worked on the disc content. The disc contained basic functionality and special features, it is a good example of a catalog title using only simply animations like scrolling and a basic menu structure.Tinker Bell
Tinkerbell was one of several other titles I worked on while with Deluxe Digital Studios. It was my first Disney title I worked on and I only authored the BD-J portion of the disk, Localizing an international SKU.Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
This was the first disk I authored while working at Deluxe Digital Studios. I worked only on the BD-J portion of the disc while an HDMV Author worked on the disc content. The menu contained several unique animations, but the difficulty of this disk came from it being my first title and it being the first Fox disc using their now rather common Pressbook/Newspaper feature which I developed.Fast & Furious - Virtual Garage
Fast & Furious - Virtual Garage is an application/game that allows users to create a customized vehicle that can be shared with there friends via BDLive. I developed the original structure and was the leader for testing and developing the logic needed to push the limits of Blu-Ray and make the application work.Universal - BD-Live Center
I lead the original coding and testing for the re-design of Universal's BDLive center. I developed the underlying structure and logic that was later modified and used live on all current Universal Blu-Ray TItles.Deluxe - PreRoll
I lead the original coding and testing for the design of what is now know as Pre-roll. It is a streaming structure built to stream content during the pre-roll section of a Blu-Ray title. I developed the original underlying structure and logic that was later modified and used live on all current Fox Blu-Ray TItles.Fox - Pressbook
This was the first 'Advanced' feature I worked on and just happened to be on my first title I authored. The functionality wasn't complicated but required knowledge of the Blu-ray Specification and a deep knowledge of the Authoring Systems used at Deluxe to get the functionality to work seamlessly. This feature consisted of a 'Book' that had transitions from pages to page (video showing the pages turn). Once a page was opened navigation was allowed on the individual pieces of each page that the user could select to view a full-screen of the Paragraph/Article/Picture. A large amount of coordination between the HDMV author and I had to be maintained so the pages, transitions, and full-screen shots could be linked smoothly. Extra care had to be taken to insure the user wasn't able to navigate the Pressbook in unexpected or undesired ways. This feature was first implemented on The Conquest of the Planet of the Apes an has since been reused on many Fox titles as a standard extras feature.Avatar - PreRoll/PocketBlu/FoxPortal Integration
I integrated Deluxe Digital Studios PreRoll, PocketBlu, and FoxPortal with the Avatar Blu-Ray title while working with Panasonic. I communicated with parties in Deluxe as well as internally within Panasonic to change/modifiy/update the original Avatar disc to include PreRoll, PocketBlu, and FoxPortal.
